  • Unschooling and Homeschooling: The Power of Connecting with Like-Minded Parents
Written by Lehla Eldridge

If you are totally overwhelmed with homeschooling or unschooling and what is going on in the news right now, connect up with others. I hear this a lot from parents who are isolated and who are not in connection with other people. I think community is so very important, even if you are physically a long way from any one else. Use the phone, the internet, zoom, whatsapp.

Don’t tough it out and isolate yourself, connect up with others and make time to chat. Even if it is for twenty minutes. Being at home all the time with children can be tiring, so make time for adult conversations so that you can feel more connected in the world and refreshed, there is only so much lego you can stand on….

There are lovely people out there to connect with who are also in the same position as you. Or even just talking to an adult friend for a short time can really help you feel sane!

Do your best to get connected. It is so important right now. We started a 6 week call that has now been going on for 3 years and it is fantastic to connect up with other like minded people. We are soon to be running webinars, so it would be great to see you there and we can connect up that way!
